Chapter 1, Keys to Success, in Your College Experience - Strategies for Success,
discussed many suggestions for starting college off on solid ground. Three of the main
ideas were:
- Learn what helping resources your campus offers and where they are located.
- Understand why you are in college.
- Develop critical thinking skills.
Assignment
- Find out what types of support
services or resources are available to CSU, Chico
students. List as many as you can on a separate sheet of paper. Attach your list to your
paper.
- Choose one of the services listed that you might be interested in using and write a paper describing the service, where
it is located, etc., and explain why you might be interested in using it. Your audience
for this writing assignment will be the other students in UNIV 001C. This paper should be
a minimum of two pages.
