Just suppose Santa wanted assistance with suggestions and comments about Christmas gifts and behavior.  Just how could he be part of an ongoing discussion with people that aren't at the North Pole?  Hmm...one thing he could do would be to maintain a listserv on his computer (server) at the North Pole.
