Hi,
I just want to introduce our company to this list.
We have made a different kind of search tool that
processes and displays images with the results,
called the Image Surfer ( http://isurf.interpix.com )
There are also cobranded versions with Yahoo and Infoseek
and a Japanese vesion.

To make Image Surfer, we have developed a general purpose
parallel, scalable, multi-threaded web crawler called ISpi which
we have also licensed to Hitachi Business International
to make the Japan search site ( http://hole-in-one.com ).
