Now I knwo this aint a list for moaning about nasty bits of software but
this one might be of interest to some of us. In fact, i'd go so far as to
say - Whoo, look at this beauty!

The following is taken from the Shareware.com mailing list...

Jackhammer is an excellent productivity tool that serves two primary
functions: first, the program helps you to access sites that are
continually busy, and second, it can initiate downloads on busy ftp sites
and notify you when a download is complete. Simply enter the URL of the
page you wish to visit and select a default browser, and Jackhammer will
repeatedly retry the site until you can get on. All of this is accomplished
in the background so as not to interrupt your regular surfing time.
Jackhammer lets you launch up to five "hammers" simultaneously, and you can
assign priority to particular downloads.

Ohh what joy, as if my server didnt have enough to do already....
