Text Editing Deleting Text
If you want to delete characters or words in a document you
can use either the backspace or delete key.
- The backspace removes text from right to left.
- The delete key removes text from left to right.
To delete a block of text, first highlight
what you want to remove, and then press either delete or backspace.

Cutting, Pasting,
and Copying
- Select the text,
- To copy text, use the icon
on the Standard Toolbar or go to Edit/Copy (Ctrl+C)
OR
To move text, use the icon on the Standard Toolbar or go to Edit/Cut
(Ctrl+X),
- Move the cursor to the location where you want the text
moved or copied,
- Choose the icon on the Standard Toolbar
or go to Edit/Paste (Ctrl+V).

Make a Mistake? You can
recover most editing by going to Edit/Undo or pressing the undo icon. |
